# Merchant registration ID types
> Country-specific merchant registration ID types and formats required for data submission.
The value you pass to Envisso for each country is indicated by the **Merchant Registration ID Type** field for that country. Use the accordions below to find the correct ID type and format for each supported country.

In addition to country-specific merchant registration IDs, you can use the Creditsafe Company ID as an alternative method for company identification. When using this ID type, you must also provide a valid `registered_country` so Envisso can locate the correct company.
